Read the following story and fill in the blanks. Use the words given in the box.

A car was (1) .............. to a tree. The tree had lots of apples (2)………….….it. John found a ladder and climbed up the tree to pick some apples. One or two apples fell (3)….…………the car. The owner of the car was standing by and he was not pleased. John quickly climbed down and hid (4)………….….the tree. A lady walking (5)……………….the car saw john and she told the man where John was .So John made a run for it. The man looked behind the trees but John was gone.
